Responsibility Gears Us Towards Self Reliance

The most important thing in the life of a human being is to make a difference. Our inspirations determine and map our destiny in life. In spite of the challenges we face in life we must always seek to make the right choices. We cannot expect things to always go exactly as we intend; sometimes we are bound to encounter hitches or setbacks along the way.

Challenges should never be a hindrance to achieving success. Someone once said, “There is no problem without a solution”. Whoever said this, must have felt the urge to convince others to courageously face obstacles rather than flee from them. Under all circumstances, be patient and avoid complaining since complaining does not yield any fruits.

Instead of constantly lamenting, engage your mind in creativity so as to come up with answers that will resolve life’s issues. The ability to rid your mind of any negativity will provide the proper mental preparedness needed when tackling challenges. Note that challenges are there to trigger our minds to be innovative.

Responsibility begins in the mind. You and you alone are solely responsible for your actions as well as your success. Responsibility cannot be enforced but it comes out of self-will, it is as a result of making of right decisions. Someone once said, “Think twice before leaping.” This means that you should think carefully before taking any action. Also remember that there are consequences in whatever you choose to do.

Self reliance is not a gift that you are born with but rather it is something that you need to cultivate diligently from childhood. Parents therefore need to instill this virtue in their children.
