How do you know that you have succeeded? Well there are many traits of highly successful people you can compare yourself to and this article deals with some of them. Perhaps it is the binary code that you need to set yourself up against, as most of the prominent people in the world who are looking down on the rest of us share these traits. There are many, and some of them vary from person to person – and so to the convenience of the readers, I have distilled 5 traits of highly successful people to read about.

One has to be confidence and it is almost carbon copied in all the successful people that I have met. Not to be mistaken for arrogance, a highly successful person is able to exude an aura that will almost overpower you at the first meeting. A belief in one self and knowing that almost nothing in the world can deter them from reaching the goal that they want to is the sort of thing the greats are made of.

They also know what they want and almost never deviate. Their radar is fixed on a small blip that they are driving towards and they will not let anything in the way stop them from reaching this goal. Such focus, such tenacity are the key ingredients for anyone to start seeing massive success. They don’t wander and they don’t languish. They are in constant movement and highly purposeful.

They are also have an extreme amount of concentration and will never let a single piece of information be left out. Most of us in the world can barely sit through a 15 minute classroom without fidgeting but these people are the rocks of concentration that stand out from the rest of us. The waves of restlessness will sweep us away but for them, they are the rocks that stand firm.

That and a combination of hard work, will lead anyone to succeed. Hard work I think is 50% of the battle won and I you are willing to entrench yourself in whatever you do, then you will have a great chance of reaching the stars. They say that if there is a road to the sun, not many will be able to traverse it. You can be one of these people and hold the light in your hands. Led Zeppelin once said that there was a stairway to heaven – it’s time you make your own.

There was once a brand of t-shirt that had the adage ‘No Fear’ written boldly on it. And I think that this is the attitude that a lot of us should follow today. People who succeed in life have absolutely no fear of it and the only thing to fear – not to overly quote someone else – is fear itself. Don’t be afraid to take opportunities and seize risks to light up the pathway to success. A long time ago a man tied a key to a kite and challenged lightning itself to prove him right.

In my life I can say that I have had a hard time developing faith in myself. I was always second guessing myself with every decision I was making in my business and life. And in turn I would fail in my internet marketing business. Not once, not twice but dozens of times.

It was simply because I didn’t have enough faith and I wasn’t feeding my brain everyday to have that faith. If I did I could have made decisions that were more inlined with my vision of what I wanted to become.

But How do you develop faith that your gonna succeed? The only proven way to develop faith is through auto-suggestion. Faith is a state of mind that can either be induced or created naturally. Which will develop your subconscious towards having what you want. It will then in turn bring it back to you in the form of faith by having you act with a definite plan of action.

Faith is almost impossible to describe to anyone who doesn’t have it. The reason that is, is because its a state of mind that has been developed with time and describing it would be like describing colors to a blind man.

Napoleon Hill says, “All thoughts which have been emotionalized and mixed with faith begin immediately to translate themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart.” In other words, you have to think about what you want first before you will ever have it…

But this can also work against you, if you think negative or destructive thoughts you will eventually get negative and destructive results. Go figure…

People in our society call this “bad luck” or “”poor me syndrome”…Most of us know people like this. They drag you down every time you get around them, like a disease, whatever they speak immediately corrupts your thought patterns and you begin to fall to their level.

Millions of people do this everyday and thinking it’s something that they have to deal with because it was the hand life dealt to them…Its complete crap! The reason people have bad luck is because of their negative beliefs which then is picked up by their subconscious only to be translated into their reality.

The way successful people get what they want is by “suggesting” to themselves the exact desire or outcome they want to become their reality. Your belief and your faith is exactly what your subconscious needs to get your body eventually into motion to follow through with the habits that will give you your success.

In the book think and grow rich, Napoleon Hill says, “Conduct yourself just as you would if you were already in possession of the material thing which you are demanding.” In normal people terms that means, do what success people do as if you are already successful…

So it can be said that you can develop faith in anything by suggesting to your mind with affirmations that you already have faith. That is why it is so important to feed your mind with positive emotions and push out those destructive negative emotions that you get through out the day.

Then eventually your mind will be dominated by positive thoughts of faith, so when you call upon getting ideas or making a certain situation work,in you business or personal life, your subconscious mind will kick in and give you the action plan you need to get whatever it is you want.


That is exactly what I did! I read an affirmation statement everyday and night. And if Im trying to stretch myself, with a goal, I add to my daily statement so I can program myself to have more faith that I can reach my new goal.

So take action now! Write out exactly what you want, put down that you “deserve success”, you give yourself permission to be successful, and I will do xyz everyday to get it and I won’t give up until I get there.

The science of mind control has been around since the 1970’s when it was used in a series of tests to the mass audience. Vindicating the mass media theory of the Frankfurt schools of thought, the idea of the ‘hypodermic syringe’ – that audiences were deeply affected by the messages that they receive when they view any sort of degraded media was taken a step further. Go Beyond a Positive Attitude to Get What You REALLY Want

You’ve heard it all before. That having a positive attitude is the key to success. And I will agree that it is an important attribute to possess. However, it is not the 100% fail proof method that some people make it out to be.

I am sure that you know at least one person that has a very positive attitude and still they have a hard time getting what they really want. And I am also sure that you can find at least one person that has a lot of what they want but also has a very negative attitude at times.

So, how do you really get what it is that you want?

You have to combine positive thinking with strategies and action that will produce the results that you desire. You could be totally positive about your ability to increase your financial situation, but if you NEVER learn the strategy that will attract wealth, it ain’t going to happen!

Strategy is just as important as your attitude. It’s half the equation. And really when you think about it, it might actually be more. Just like I said before, there are people that are pretty negative about things and yet they still know how to produce the strategy that yields the results that they want.

I’m not saying a positive attitude is not important. IT IS!

But, it is not the entire equation. You also have to take positive action towards your dreams and your goals. Be positive, but take action as well!

How To Create A Truckful Of Ideas!

Ask any creativity expert and he will tell you “it helps to get a lot of ideas, more ideas you get, the better probability of hitting at a fresh solution.”

But the question that baffles everyone is: how?

Because in reality, forget a lot of ideas, people don’t even get a few ideas to start with.

Here are some tips to help you get ideas quickly:

Empty your mind:

Write everything that comes to your mind about that subject. These may not be ideas, just your thoughts and preconceived notions about the situation.

Write everything. Once these ideas are out you can think of some fresh ones.

Keywords:

Write all the key words associated with your opportunity at hand.
These Keywords will become your gateways to ideas.

Phrase these keywords differently and see what happens.

For example in this article instead of “keywords” I can say “words which are important to understand the concept” or I can use the phrase “words that unlock the meaning” of a situation.

Now these phrases will give you cues to get more ideas.

Associations:

Start free-wheeling. Record all the associations that come to your mind about the opportunity and start creating ideas on those associations.

Write down all the jokes, all the anecdotes, all the lyrics that this situation reminds you.

Does it remind you of a movie scene? Write it down. It reminds you of a picnic where some funny thing happened? Record it.

Don’t judge. Play with whatever your mind gives you.

Associations will present you with infinite possibilities.

For example “Mother” will take you to “love”

Mother > love >

Now love can lead to “romance” or “security” or ‘war” depending on your life experiences, context of the situation and mental state at the moment.

Keep writing as many ideas you can capture.

Write a book:

Pretend as if you are an expert author on the subject you want ideas for. Now think of possible book titles about the situation. Also add the subtitles to get a fresh angle.

For example:

How to think of a truckful of ideas under tight deadlines?

Idea mining: Where to dig to get good ideas.

Instant ideas: Whenever you want

Invite ideas: They are eager to come

The gang of Ideas: They never come alone

Now these titles will become a trigger for ideas.

All the ideas are a possible seed for the next idea. Like the book title above reads, Ideas have gangs, they never come alone!

Invite ideas:

Read a magazine or a newspaper.

Invite the headlines in your situation. See what will happen if you write your keywords in those headlines!

It will spark new combinations and many more ideas.

Do the same with shopping catalogues. See how a fashionable handbag can help you get the best of your opportunity.

Or a lipstick can help you create ideas.

For example I can say;

Try different shades of the idea you have generated. It will help you generate more ideas. What if I change the shades of verbs in my ideas?

Instead of, how to think of ideas quickly, what if I ask:

How to find ideas quickly?

Or, how to cook ideas quickly?

Or what about, how to spice up your ideas quickly?

Build on ideas:

Write down all the ideas on a big sheet where the ideas can gang up together.

Now let them cross over from one gang to another.

This will generate even more possibility for ideas. New gangs will be created.

Keep on recording the ideas.

Fill in the blanks:

On your idea sheet write numbers:

1:

2:
.
.
.

60:

Do the same with associations. Create empty branches. And keep writing ideas on them.

Human brain has a tendency to fill in the blanks. When there will be an expectation for ideas, it will provide.

Reward yourself:

Give yourself a good treat when you crack a good number of ideas. Reward yourself for number of ideas as well as good ideas.

Give yourself idea targets:

Creating ideas is a skill. You get better at it with practice.

So give increasing targets to yourself regularly. Achieving these targets will encourage you and will convince you, creating so many ideas is possible.

My Dog May be the Smartest Person I Know

My dog is a five year old boxer named Indiana. Indy has been through a lot and is always teaching me lessons, for which I’m grateful.

Today as I sit here I realize that Indy is teaching me about self-care. Interesting because it seems that during each and every session with any client, be it Reiki or life coaching, we always spend some time chatting about the importance of self-care.

A few days ago the boxer that we had been fostering went to live with his new family. Duke appears amazingly happy and I’m grateful for this. While Duke has lived with us for the past few months, Indy has adjusted and made room for him to be a part of our pack. Way to go Indy.

They would lie on either side of me to get their Reiki nearly every night, each knew just what position the other would occupy when we went on walks and they quickly fell into a mealtime routine that was easy for Duke. Indy made all of these adjustments with a no muss, no fuss attitude and I am grateful.

Now Duke is not here. Indy is adjusting again. I think he’s missing his buddy a little bit and feeling as though he needs a little more of my attention. He’s generally telling me this in gentle ways. Coming to sit on my feet or curling next to me on the couch (generally a big no-no). He’s also finding ways that are not quite so subtle. Stealing food from a counter top which is something he’s never done before. Doing a little bit of digging in a great big plant, again something he has never done before, not even when he was a pup.

Indy is taking care of himself by letting me know in as clear a manner as possible that he needs a bit more attention from me right now. And he’ll get that attention. His ways of asking may seem naughty, but let’s face it, he has limited options for communicating with me, I don’t understand the subtle body language of my canine friend as well as I would like and good behavior is expected and easily dismissed. So, he has resorted to a bit of misbehavior. Perfectly understandable.

No, Indy is not being scolded nor reprimanded in any way. I didn’t catch him breaking the rules, simply discovered the results. What he is getting is more cuddle time. More walking, training and Reiki time. More time focused on Indiana and taking care of his needs. It’s always a delight to do these things and I really appreciate that Indiana has reminded me of the need to spend more time together.

I really like and appreciate that Indy knows what he needs and is doing his best to communicate these needs to me. He’s clearly feeling a bit sad and lonely and he knows that spending time with me doing the activities that he likes best will make him feel better. Indy knows himself and he is taking care of himself to the very best of his ability.

I will continue to encourage all of my Reiki and life coaching clients to take the time to focus on their own needs. Are these needs being met? Are your needs being met? If not, how can that be remedied. Consider taking a little bit of time to listen to your heart and soul , it always tells us what we need to know. I encourage you to then find the courage to meet these needs.

For me, Reiki helps an awful lot. For my husband it’s exercise, for Indiana it’s a combination of Reiki, exercise and companionship. What works for you?

The Healing Mind: Changing Our Brain by Changing Our Mind

Modern science has proved that mind can change the brain at the DNA level. Scientific findings that our world is more than just things (like atoms) highlight the importance of the spiritual.

Meditation

There are hundreds of methods for meditation. What happens once you achieve a state of meditation? Several physiological changes occur: decreased cortisol and adrenaline levels, reduced stress, and improved immune function. Many people believe that meditative states can heal and access the spiritual.

Scientists demand evidence, however. Without evidence, meditation is considered to be yet another mumbo-jumbo paranormal phenomenon. Thus, Andrew Newberg, a medical doctor, director of clinical medicine, and assistant professor of radiology, used state-of-the-art methods of examining brain activities by charting the blood flow to specific brain areas. By comparing the scans taken before and during meditation, Newberg and his collaborators were able to show reproducible changes that occur in the brain when one meditates. The scans taken with those in a state of meditation were very different from those in a “normal” state of mind.

Newberg’s study subjects included Tibetan meditators and Franciscan nuns at prayer. There was commonality of brain states with these two groups and the activity of people engaged in spiritual practices. This is graphic evidence that meditation and prayer enables the mind to access the spiritual realm.

Changing your brain by changing your mind

The dogma held by most scientists until the 1990’s was that the brain cannot be significantly changed after adolescence. Jeffrey Schwartz, a neuroscientist at UCLA, employed modern scientific instruments to test that dogma. Schwartz, in his decades of work with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), found that patients following his therapy produced changes in their neural pathways. This work is highly significant. It proves that the mind can cause healing.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder often yields devastating consequences. The unwanted urges to incessantly wash one’s hands or to constantly worry if a door was left unlocked can prevent individuals from holding a job or retaining relationships. Schwartz had his patients focus their attention in a meditative state on alternative thoughts, such as going out to the garden, rather than the obsessive impulse. This strengthened the neural connections that result in the thought of going to the garden and weakened the OCD urge connections. Brain scans showed that as the patients improved, their brain wiring changed-proving that mind changes brain.

Prayer

As with meditation, there are hundreds of ways to pray. In addition to the evidence of brain changes reported by Newberg’s study of Franciscan nuns at prayer, numerous studies show the healing power of prayer. Reports of over 130 controlled laboratory studies indicating that prayer or prayer-like states result in positive health changes in humans and other living organisms.

The Power of Love

One essential component in all healing is love and compassion. The results of a Gallup poll indicate that over 90 percent of patients long for care and love from their doctors.

Numerous studies have shown how love produces electrochemical action in the brain, which, in turn, produces chemicals that strengthen the immune system. Dean Ornish, a cardiologist, has reported clinical studies involving patients suffering from arteriosclerosis and angina. These studies indicate that love, or the absence of love, directly impacts the seriousness of the disease as well as the odds for survival.

Medicine over several centuries at different times by different cultures moved from shunning the patient to nurturing-reminding us that despite modern wonders of medicine, the greatest medical advancement was moving from fear to love.

The importance of love, mind, and spirit in our daily lives can’t be overemphasized. Healing the rift between science and spiritualityis happening.

How Self Healing Techniques Can Be Achieved Through Brainwave Entrainment

The power of healing has been something that has been studied for hundreds of years and the brain has been closely connected to its voracious study. The body has at its disposal the tools necessary to heal itself, but presently we are stuck at the ‘default level’ of healing.
